Yong Pal (Korean Drama)

Genre:  Medical, Action, Drama, Romance
Episodes: 16

Main Cast:
Joo Won as Kim Tae Hyun/ Yong Pal
Kim Tae-Hee as Han Yeo Jin
Jo Hyun-Jae as Han Do Joon
Chae Jung-An as Lee Chae Young

Synopsis:

Kim Tae-Hyun is an excellent surgeon, but he is constantly harassed by debt collectors due to his younger sister. His younger sister requires expensive kidney dialysis. To make more money, he goes to see patients privately for a high fee. He doesn't care whether these patients are criminals as long as they can pay him.

Tae Hyun becomes a pawn in the chief’s priority of catering to VIP patients within the hospital. But his life changes when he meets Han Yeo Jin, a chaebol heiress, who has been in a coma for three years. Tae Hyun helps Yeo Jin to wake from her sleep.

My Thoughts:

This was one heck of a great drama with amazing plot twists and revelations. It just started a few weeks ago but it began with a bang. And bang the whole way through. You don't see the female lead for the first few episodes but just with male lead, the game gets super exciting. When they actually meet, the development was considerably fast which was a bit awkward. But nevertheless the interactions between characters was great.

The progress was great and filled with suspense. And making you think what's happening next. The characters surprise me at almost every turn. Still, I would say it is one of the best medical drama I have watched. For they blended medical with action in a splendid melody.

A total must-watch. Got hooked.

Oh My Ghost (Korean Drama)

Genre: Romance, Comedy, Drama
Episodes: 16

Main Cast:
Park Bo-Young as Na Bong Sun
Cho Jung-Seok as Kang Sun Woo
Kim Seul-Gi as Shin Soon Ae
Im Ju-Hwan as Choi Sung Jae

Synopsis:

Na Bong-sun has an extremely timid personality and low self-esteem, doesn't have any close friends, and is constantly getting reprimanded at her job as an assistant chef at Sun Restaurant. She also occasionally sees ghosts, thanks to a shaman grandmother. One day, Bong-sun gets possessed by a lustful virgin ghost named Shin Soon-ae. To make up for the lack of romance in her short life and believing that only by losing her virginity will she be able to "resolve her grudge" and move on to the afterlife, Soon-ae is determined to seduce as many men as she can by possessing various women, and she finds the perfect vessel in Bong-sun.

Bong-sun's boss is arrogant star chef Kang Sun-woo, whom she secretly has a crush on. Sun-woo hasn't dated anyone since getting his heart broken by his college friend Lee So-hyung, who's now a TV producer. But when Bong-sun seemingly gets rid of her shyness and suddenly changes into a confident, dynamic woman, she finally catches his eye. Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding Soon-ae's death involves Sun-woo's brother-in-law, kindly police officer Choi Sung-jae who may not be what he seems.

My Thoughts:

Again, kinda late for me to post this but all for a good reason. As I was hooked on this drama a lot. Damn, it was comedic and fun. The fantasy implementation was just nice. And I think I found another great drama writer because this is an awesome story.

Totally love the character development. It was an awesome journey watching the characters grew much deeper, braver, opened and stronger. The flow was nice and the slice of comedy in almost every scene was just perfect.

The main actress was super great at acting as different people. She was able to act the ghost's character flawlessly that you can't see the difference between the ghost and her. But, absolutely love the romance here. Under a presumed grudge, you get a lot of action here. Which makes it very comedic at times. So go on and watch if you ever found the time.
