Synopsis:
Her confession rejected and after being called ugly, Maewnam holes up in her house out of shame for a few years with a box on her head because she doesn't want anyone to see her 'ugly' face, until her dad gives her an ultimatum to go back to school. But she’s so embarrassed to face people, she walks with the box on her head. Then two bad boys enter her life and turn her "box" world inside out.

My Thoughts:

I came across this drama by chance through a Youtube Random. And I was hooked. Although it has just 8 episodes, it does not feel rushed at all. Seriously, I loved it. And I would never have thought that I will be watching a Thai drama in my life at all.

The story was super great. I like how the story went on as I predicted like I want this lead girl to be with that guy and I got it. I love the twists and turn and how they never touch long on the dark side of things, you know jealousy..... But, overall, it is great. I haven't finished watching though and I would love for it to go on forever. Sometimes you may know what's gonna happen, but you accept it like you never knew. Because it kept the mysterious tone alive and exciting. And if one wants to go out and widen their horizon, I think you can start with this. Or any others. Because I never knew Thailand could also produce great dramas, although this one was based on a book but still great.

Kim Yeol is the president of Baek Ho, an elite club comprising of the school's top 5 percent students. When the two clubs are merged and forced to create a chearleading squad, the two are forced to put their differences aside for the benefit of both their clubs.

My Thoughts:

I was bored so I decided to check this drama out. You know, just in case. I have many of those experiences already and this one was of course the same. I kinda read the recaps for the first two episodes because they are pretty much setting the grounds for the story but I still watch some of it. And the next episodes is when the wheels started turning. I was excited to watch it and damn I was sad that I have to wait a week for the next release because seriously this story is amazing. The cast are hilarious and currently no dark elements appear yet. It also captivated me with the struggles the characters face being 18 year olds and the cliche for the rich and genius kids getting to know the world more and understanding what it's truly like to be 18 in Korea.

Overall, it was a splendid drama. I am amazed at some of the random comedious acts. And I was pleasantly astonished at the way they drag the story without rushing and naturally let it gets it flow and no misunderstandings being dragged too long because they are frustrating and annoying if it were to continue for too long. So, a refreshing teen drama for fall 2015 to watch by all.

Yong Pal (Korean Drama)

Genre:  Medical, Action, Drama, Romance
Episodes: 16

Main Cast:
Joo Won as Kim Tae Hyun/ Yong Pal
Kim Tae-Hee as Han Yeo Jin
Jo Hyun-Jae as Han Do Joon
Chae Jung-An as Lee Chae Young

Synopsis:

Kim Tae-Hyun is an excellent surgeon, but he is constantly harassed by debt collectors due to his younger sister. His younger sister requires expensive kidney dialysis. To make more money, he goes to see patients privately for a high fee. He doesn't care whether these patients are criminals as long as they can pay him.

Tae Hyun becomes a pawn in the chief’s priority of catering to VIP patients within the hospital. But his life changes when he meets Han Yeo Jin, a chaebol heiress, who has been in a coma for three years. Tae Hyun helps Yeo Jin to wake from her sleep.

My Thoughts:

This was one heck of a great drama with amazing plot twists and revelations. It just started a few weeks ago but it began with a bang. And bang the whole way through. You don't see the female lead for the first few episodes but just with male lead, the game gets super exciting. When they actually meet, the development was considerably fast which was a bit awkward. But nevertheless the interactions between characters was great.

The progress was great and filled with suspense. And making you think what's happening next. The characters surprise me at almost every turn. Still, I would say it is one of the best medical drama I have watched. For they blended medical with action in a splendid melody.

A total must-watch. Got hooked.
